YHZP - Direct Wealth 《论 正 财》

何谓之正财？犹如正官之意；

是阴见阳财，阳见阴财。

Why Direct Wealth? It is similar to Direct Officer;

It is Yin meeting Yang Wealth, Yang meeting Yin Wealth.

大抵正财，吾妻之财也。

Mostly for Direct Wealth represent my wife’s wealth.

人之女貲财以事我，必精神康强，然后可以享用之；

The wealth from the woman, must be strong in spirit, after than can be usable;

如吾身方且自萎懦而不振，虽妻财丰厚，但能目视，终不可一毫受用。

 If the self is spiritless, withered and not vibrant, even if the wife’s wealth is generous/ample/sufficient, only able to look, at the end not able to use.

故财要得时，不要财多。

For Wealth must obtain the season, no need to have many.

若财多则自家日本有力，可以胜任，当化作官。

If the wealth is prosperous and the DM is strong enough, able to win/control, transform to officer.

天元一气，羸弱贫薄难治。

Heaven and Yuan one Qi/energy, weak, meager, poor not able to control.

是乐于身旺，不要行剋制之乡；

Prefers to have strong self, not suitable to encounter ke/control luck period.

剋制者，官鬼也。

The one which ke/control, the officer ghost.

又怕所生之月令，正吾衰病之地，又四柱无父母以生之；

Afraid that the month commander is weak or in sick Qi phase, further without the support from the parent’s ground (Resource);

反喜财，又有见财，谓之财多。

Likes wealth, further meeting wealth, considered as prosperous wealth.

力不任财，祸患百出；

If not able to control the wealth, numerous disasters will occur;

虽少年经休囚之位，故不如意，事多频併。

Although during younger years located in rest/prison stage, therefore not smooth, many worries/issues.

或中年或末年，复临父母之乡，或三合可以助我者；

Or middle age or Wei year, return to the ground of the parents (resource), or with ‘San He’ is able to help the self;

则勃然而兴，不可御也。

Suddenly becomes flourishing, not able to manage.

倘少年乘旺，老在脱局，不惟穷途悽惶，兼且是非纷起。

If prosperous during younger age, diminishing during old age, not only poor, sad and frightened, will also encounter numerous quarrels.

盖，财者，起争之端也。

Cover, wealth, the reason for argument.

若或四柱相生，别带贵格，不值空亡；

Or the four pillars producing, without noble chart, not worth Kong Wang;

又行旺运，三合财生，是皆贵命。

Further during strong luck period, three combination produce wealth, represent a noble life.

其餘福之浅深，皆随入格轻重而言之。

The quantity and depth of the fortune, determined by the chart structure’s weight in the chart.

财多生官，要须身健。

Prosperous Wealth birth Officer, the self must be strong.

财多盗气，本自身柔，年运又或伤财，必生奇祸；

Prosperous wealth will diminish the self, if the self is delicate, during HO/Wealth luck period, will encounter strange disaster.

或带刑併七杀，凶不可言也。

Or with punishment together with 7 Killing, very inauspicious.

又云，正财者，喜身旺、印綬，忌官星、忌倒食、忌身弱、比肩劫财。

Classic:  Direct Wealth person, likes to be strong, likes resource, dislike Officer star, dislike Indirect Resource, dislike to be weak and Bi Jian to rob the wealth.

不可见官星，恐盗财之气也；

Cannot meet Officer star, afraid that the wealth Qi is robbed;

喜印綬者，能生身主弱故也。

Likes resource, able to produce self who is weak.

且如甲日用己为正财；

如身弱，其祸立至。

Example for Jia DM with Ji earth as the Direct Wealth;

If the self is weak, it is disastrous.

凡人命带财下生，须出富豪；

For a person with wealth in the chart, will be wealthy;

不螟蛉，必庶出、或冲父母。

Cannot adopt a child, must produce own child, or will clash the parent.

身旺无劫财，无官星为妙。

DM prosperous without Rob Wealth, without officer is considered splendid.

若命中有官星得地，运行喜财星多生官。

Or with officer star in the chart which is rooted, during heavy wealth luck period it is auspicious due to it producing officer.

兼有财星得地，运行忌见官星，恐剋其身；怕身弱也。

With Wealth star obtaining the ground, inauspicious during Officer star luck period, afraid of it controlling/ke the self; especially bad when self is weak.

大抵财不论偏正，皆喜印綬，必能发福。

Mostly for wealth, there is no need to differentiate between Direct or Indirect, with resource available, can become wealthy.

如【辛丑，丁酉，丁巳，丁未】：

Example

此命丁日身坐财之地，又见巳酉丑金局，故主财旺。

This chart Ding DM sitting on Wealth ground (Wealth Structure), further meeting Si You Chou metal formation, which represent strong wealth.

盖金得木库居未，能生丁火，故身旺能当其财；

With metal cover (metal protrude in HS) obtaining wood store in Wei, able to produce Ding fire, with a strong self is able to control the wealth;

运行东南方，宜乎巨富。

During East South luck period (Wood and Fire), becomes very rich.

丁用壬官，用庚金为财，生壬官；

Ding uses Ren as Officer, uses Geng metal as Wealth, Metal able to produce Ren Officer;

身入旺乡，必能发福。

The self in prosperous village (during LP which supports the DM), will be rich.

凡用财，不见官星为妙。

If the chart uses wealth, it is better not to meet with officer.

如【庚申，乙酉，丙申，丙申】：

Example

此命丙日见三申为财，岂不美哉！

This chart Bing DM meeting 3 Shen which represent the wealth, is this a beautiful chart?

丙用癸官，用辛为财，见三申一酉为财，故旺。

Bing uses Gui officer, use Xin as wealth, meeting 3 Shen and one You as wealth, which makes Wealth prosperous.

盖缘日弱，火病申死酉，乃为无气，运行西方金乡，身弱太甚；

Making the DM weak, Bing sick at Shen death at You, has no Qi/energy, during west metal luck period, the DM becomes too weak;

财旺生鬼，败剋其身，故不能胜其财，所以贫也。

Prosperous wealth produce ghost, destroy and damage the DM, not able to win/control the wealth, as result represent a poor life.

如【乙卯，癸未，辛酉，戊子】：

Example

此命辛日坐酉，乙年坐卯，身与财俱旺；

This chart has Xin DM sitting on You, Yi Year pillar sitting on Mao, the DM and the Wealth both prosperous;

又得癸未食神，戊子印綬助之，宜乎巨富贵也。

Also obtained Gui Wei Eating God, also support from Wu Zi resource, tremendous riches and honor.

如【戊子，丁巳，甲辰，丙寅】：

Example 

此命甲日生于四月下旬，并透出丙丁火，生其月中之戊土；

This chart Jia DM born in the 4^th month, protrude Bing Ding fire, born during month DHHS Wu earth;

时又归禄于寅，故财旺矣！然甲木身亦旺。

Hour EB is Yin which is also Shiganlu, as a result the wealth is prosperous!

The Jia DM is also prosperous.

早年行戊午己未运，迤邐行辛酉运，乃见官星则凶；

During young age during Wu-Wu, Ji-Wei luck period, tortuous during Xin-You luck period, meeting officer star is inauspicious;

壬戌运有壬剋丙，伤官食神之中，失官去财，死丧合家；

During Ren Xu luck period with Ren to ke/control the Bing, within the HO and EG, losing the officer and wealth, whole family die and arrange for the funeral;

值五十九岁，入癸亥身旺运，稍可安逸；

After 59 years old, during Gui Hai prosperous luck period, then can relax;

六十五岁，逢壬辰年死矣。

65 years old, meeting Ren Chen die.

初运伤官见财格，取戊土为财，所以戊午己未二运大旺生土，故财厚矣；

Early luck period HO meeting wealth chart structure, obtain Wu earth as wealth, therefore during Wu Wu Ji Wei prosperous luck period producing the earth, the reason for abundant wealth;

及至庚申辛酉西方见官，故凡事费力；

During Geng-Shen Xin-You west direction meeting officer, the reason it requires extra effort for everything;

虽癸亥为甲木之印綬，然亦忌火冲水，亥中又有壬水。

Even though Gui Hai represent the resource for Jia wood, but dislike fire to clash with the water, especially within Hai there is Ren water.

壬辰透出壬水，运中、命中元有之辰，死无疑矣！

Ren Chen protrude Ren water, during luck period, there is already Chen within the chart, will die undoubtedly.

凡伤官见财格，忌见官星，只喜见财。

For HO meeting wealth chart structure, inauspicious to meet officer, only likes to meet wealth.

大忌壬水剋火，则火不能生甲木之土财也。

Very inauspicious for Ren water to ke/control the fire, making the fire not able to produce the earth which is the wealth for Jia wood.

三命通会

正财者，乃甲见己、乙见戊之例。

Direct Wealth, like Jia meeting Ji, Yi meeting Wu.

受我克制，为我之妻，譬人娶妻，妻赍财嫁我，我必精神康强，而后可享用，若衰微不振，虽妻财丰厚，但能目视，终不得用。

Bein restrained/controlled by me, my wife, termed as marrying a wife, I must be strong, will be able to enjoy later, if weak and lack vitality, if wealth/wife is ample, can only see and not able to use.

故财要得时乘旺，不偏正混乱，不重叠多见，自家日主有力，皆能发福。

Wealth must be in season and prosperous, not mixed with Direct and Indirect, not too many, the DM must be strong, will be rich and prosperous.

若财多身弱，柱无印助，财少身强，柱有比劫，太过不及，皆不为福。

If Wealth is prosperous and DM is weak, with no resource to support in the natal chart, or if Wealth is weak and DM is prosperous, with Bi Jian and Jie Cai in the natal chart, when it is too excessive, it is not a good thing, not auspicious.

《珞》云：若月令得财局，身衰逢印资助，当作富论，如先见印，却怕见财。

Classic: With wealth structure derived from the month, if DM is weak, meeting Resource in the LP is considered noble and fortunate, however with Resource in the natal chart; it is inauspicious to meet Wealth in the LP.

《独步》云：先财后印，反成其福，先印后财，反成其辱是也。

Classic: First Wealth later Resource is considered auspicious, first Resource later Wealth, is considered inauspicious.

用财不宜明露，柱见比劫，则宜透出，使人共见则不能夺。

Wealth structure is not suitable to protrude, pillars with Bi Jian/Jie Cai, appropriate to protrude, so can see the wealth but can’t robbed the wealth.

赋云：财宜藏，藏则丰厚，露则浮荡是也。

Classic: Appropriate for Wealth to be hidden, hidden Wealth represent abundant wealth; exposed Wealth (protrude) represent squandered Wealth.

凡财格，喜见官星显露，别无伤损，或更食生印助日主健旺，富贵双全。

Wealth structure, likes to have Officer exposed which is not harmed/damaged, or with EG producing the Wealth, Resource to nourish the DM, a noble and fortunate life.

如干支见煞，亦能享用，即逢财看煞之义。

With 7K in HS and EB, also can be usable, meeting Wealth must observing the meaning of 7K.

大怕枭，夺则不能生，刃劫则不能享，库逢空则不能聚。

Not good to meet Indirect Resource, which robbed and not produce, with Robbed Wealth the Wealth can’t accumulate, storage meeting void/Kong Wang the Wealth can’t gather.

如甲生午月，见壬伤，丙卯破，乙夺；

Like JIa DM born in Wu month, meeting Ren (IR) will be damaged, meeting Bing Mao will be broken, meeting Yi (RW) will be robbed.

乙生巳月，见癸伤，丁亥破，甲夺；

Like Yi DM born in Si month, meeting Gui (IR) will be damaged, meeting Ding Hai will be broken, meeting Jia (RW) will be robbed.

壬生戌月，甲子旬戌落空亡之类。

Like Ren DM born in Xu month, Xu if in reference to the pillar is Kong Wang.

**Ren Shen with Xu month. The Xu is in Kong Wang.

余以例推。

The rest discussed similarly.

又曰：财为养命之源，凡人八字不可无财，但不要太多，多则不清，若柱原无财而行财运，乃有名无实，如财多身弱，又行官乡财旺之地，见财盗气，官克身，不惟不发禄，且祸患百出。

Classic: Wealth is the source of life, it is not good not to have Wealth, but should not have too many, too many is not clear. if Wealth is not in the natal chart but appears during luck period, *exist only in name* not real, if Wealth is prosperous and self is weak, further during Officer luck period, meeting Wealth diminish the Qi, Officer ke/control the self, not only not fortunate, disaster will be numerous.

又曰：财为马，官为禄，二者不可缺一，实难两全，原有财星宜行官运，原有官星宜行财运，行财运生官，行官运发财，若柱中原无官星，只是财多，又行财运，亦能成就名利，间有登科者。

Classic: Wealth as horse, Officer as Lu, both are necessary, although difficult to have both, with Wealth in the natal chart during Officer luck period, with Officer in the natal chart during Wealth luck period, during Wealth LP will grow Officer, during Officer LP will obtain Wealth, or with no Officer star in the natal chart, only numerous Wealth, during Wealth LP, also can have fame and fortune, amongst the administrative sections.

盖财不畏多，多则暗生官也，须得身旺方能胜任，若无财，官多身受其制，反不为吉，柱中无官，只取有财为福。

Hidden Wealth is ok to have many, with many it can secretly grow Officer, DM must be strong to overcome, if without Wealth, with numerous Officer will be ke/control the self, in reverse will not be auspicious, without Officer in the chart, only obtain Wealth will be fortunate.

又曰：财官与煞，用月支者，所谓以支为命，日干者，所谓以干为禄，若月支有财官，干头不露，自足为福，若地支无财官，干头明露，乃虚诈无实之命，纵行旺运，亦不济事。

Classic: Wealth, Officer and 7K, using the Month EB, referred the life to the EB, Day HS, referred as Hs Lu, if Month EB with Wealth and Officer, with no protrusion, self satisfies as auspicious, if EB has no Wealth Officer, protrude in the HS, tricky and not honest life, during prosperous luck period, also not a good thing.

苟月支无而年时日支有，亦可取用，月地支坐财官，谓之得时，日地支坐财官谓之得位，时地支坐财官，谓之有成。得时为上，得位次之，有成又次之，兼得一二尤妙。

If it is not in the month EB but in the Year Hour EB, can also be used, with Wealth Officer in the Month EB, considered as timely, Wealth Officer in the Day EB, considered as in position, Wealth Officer in the Hour EB, considered as with achievement. Timely considered the best, in position as second best, with achievement is next, it is wonderful with two.

年主祖父富贵，中年后无用。

The Year represents the wealth of the ancestors, after middle is not usable.

又云：庚辛日生于正月，别位有火为煞，以克庚辛，虽年月见寅卯，亦无祖财，一生熬煎，遇发财处必成灾祸，以木旺生火，害日干之金，天元羸弱，财党煞生，不能为福。

Classic: Geng Xin DM born the first month, with Fire as 7K in other position, will ke/control Geng Xin metal, even if Year and Month meeting Yin Mao, will not have ancestor’s wealth, the 7K is always at the front, meeting Wealth luck period will be disastrous. When wood is prosperous will produce fire, harm the metal DM, the DM is weak, Wealth gang produce 7K, not auspicious.

又云：正财之格，主人诚实，行事俭约，赋性聪明，惟有悭吝，若财旺身衰，主妻秉男权，持家干蛊，又主有好子替力，反得优游之乐，运行比劫，妻妾多危。

Classic: Direct Wealth Structure, DM honest, careful, smart, miserly, if the Wealth is prosperous and the DM is weak, the wife controls the man and the household, will have an able child, on the contrary will have a happy and leisurely nature, during Bi Jian/Jie Cai LP, danger for the wife.

《独步》云：财旺生官，富而且贵，露官藏财，无不高位，藏则丰厚，露则虚费，冲者宜透，实则滋利。

Classic: Wealth prosperous produce Officer, noble and fortunate, Officer protrude Wealth hidden, will hold high position, when hidden it is abundant, when exposed it is meager, when clashed appropriate to protrude, actually producing the benefits.

《中书奥旨》云：我去克他为妻财，干强则富。

Classic : The ones I ke/control being the wife/Wealth, good to be strong.

又云：身弱财多，喜兄弟羊刃为助。

Classic : Weak self with prosperous Wealth, good to meet brothers, Yang Ren to assist.

又云：财旺者遇比无妨。

Classic: Prosperous Wealth meeting Bi Jian is not a problem.

又云：妻财明朗，乔木相求，财星入墓，必定刑妻，支下伏财，偏房宠妾。

Also:

Classic: Wife/Wealth bright and clear, 乔木相求, with Wealth star in the grave, will punish the wife, with support in the EB for the Wealth, pampered by the concubine.

口诀云：财星太过愚。

Classic: Too many Wealth star becomes stupid.

又云：大运、流年、三合财乡，必主红鸾吉兆。

Classic: LP, AP, with 3 combination with Wealth, auspicious omen for marriage/love encounters.

《千里马》云：财源被劫，父命先倾。

Qian Li Ma: The source of Wealth being robbed, father’s life collapsed.

又云：男逢财多身弱，妻话偏听，财星得位，因妻致富成家，财遇长生，田园万顷，财旺生官，白身荣显。

Classic: Weak male meeting prosperous Wealth, must listen to the wife, with the Wealth star in the proper position, married because of wife, Wealth meeting Chang Sheng, big properties, prosperous Wealth producing Officer, glorious and prominent.

《元理赋》云：大贵者用财而不用官。

Yuan Li Jie: Nobleman’s chart uses Wealth, not Officer.

又云：财临旺地人多福。

Classic: Wealth located in prosperous land (strong Qi phase), mostly fortunate.

又云：孤寡者只为财神被劫。

Classic: Loneliness due to Wealth Diety being robbed. (RW)

秘诀云：财生身旺两相停，不喜再见比肩。

Classic: With both prosperous wealth producing prosperous Self, it is not auspicious to see Bi Jian.

《万祺》云：正财逢生旺而优游享福，遇劫财则晦滞呻吟，官星若见，平生惹是招非，七煞若逢，处事少成多败。

Classic: Direct Wealth with prosperous Self will have a carefree and prosperous life, meeting Robbed Wealth will become unlucky, sluggish and moaning, meeting Officer star, easily provoke argument/quarrel, meeting 7K, will meet many failure with not much success.

财旺身衰，祸深福浅，财多身弱，要印扶身，身旺财衰，怕劫分夺，财食入库者福厚，例食求财者贫夭。

Prosperous Wealth with weak self, numerous disaster with little fortune, numerous Wealth with weak self, need to be supported, prosperous self with weak Wealth, afraid of Robbed Wealth to rob the Wealth, Wealth and Eating God in the storage is noble and auspicious, example Eating God seeking Wealth is poor and die prematurely.

诗曰：

正财喜旺食丰盈，日主刚强力可胜，

Classic : Direct Wealth likes prosperous EG, prosperous DM is able to overcome,

若是财多身自弱，平生破败事无成。

With prosperous Wealth the self will be weak, a life full of failure with no achievement.

又：

正财还与月官同，最怕干支遇破冲，

Classic : Direct Wealth together with Officer in the month, afraid of harm and clashes in the HS and EB.

岁运若临财旺处，须教得富胜陶公。

With prosperous Wealth luck period, is better than the 陶公luck.

又：

正财切忌劫财神，破害刑冲不可论，

Classic : Direct Wealth dislikes Robbed Wealth, destruction, harm, punishment, clash cannot be discussed,

岁运那堪逢刃地，命延不死也遭。

During Yang knife luck period (LP and AP), even not dead also close to death.

财星得位正当权，日主高强名利全，

Wealth star in position represent good authority, strong DM will have fame and fortune,

印绶若逢相济助，金珠满柜福绵绵。

Meeting Resource to assist, will have uninterrupted boxes of treasures.

又：

身旺无官只取财，财神冲破却为灾，

Classic : Prosperous Self without Officer, when the Wealth god is damaged and clashed will be disastrous,

身衰财旺还知夭，官盛身强福禄媒。

Weal Self with prosperous Wealth will die prematurely, prosperous Officer prosperous Self will have medium fame and fortune.

又：

财多如何不发财，只因身弱少培栽，

Classic : With prosperous Wealth how not to be rich, only if the Day Master is weak,

运到比肩身旺地，富贵荣华次第来。

During Bi Jian Luck Period, riches and honor will surely be glorious.

又：

财多身弱刃刚强，身旺之乡大不祥，

Classic : Prosperous Wealth weak DM with strong Yang Ren, inauspicious even though in a prosperous village,

凤寡鸾孤寒夜怨，房中妻哭两三场。

Alone and miserable blaming the night, the wife constantly crying in the night.

又：

财神忌透只宜藏，身旺逢之大吉昌，

Classic : Wealth diety dislike to protrude, prefers to be hidden, auspicious to meet when self is prosperous,

切忌比劫相遇会，一生名利被分张。

Inauspicious to meet BiJian/Jie Cai, fame and fortune shared by others.

又：

财多身旺足荣欢，身旺财多化作官，

Classic : Prosperous Wealth and prosperous self is glorious and joyous, Prosperous Self and prosperous Wealth transform to Officer,

身衰财多财累己，是非不竞起争端。

Weak self prosperous Wealth is a burden to the self, creating dispute due to quarrel.

合诸说，观正财喜忌见矣。

Combining all, is the way to understand the likes and dislikes of Direct Wealth.
