丁（陰火）：學八字，這本最好用

有禮貌，知禮敬長，疼惜晚輩，為人熱心喜照顧關懷別人，且熱心公益，外表沉穩，內心急躁，易樹敵，有第六感，直覺性強，能洞察人心，重視第一印象且會靜觀其變，但有個有趣的特點，看別人很準確，往往看不清楚自己。

Courteous, give respect to elders, tender loving care for younger generation, has a loving heart and likes to look after people, moreover enthusiastic in promoting public good, appears deeply calm but easily disturbed/irritated, easily create enemy, have 6 sense, feel strong in character, can see clearly other people feeling, treat first impression seriously but easy to change opinion, have an interesting character, good at analyzing others but can't see oneself clearly.

內心感情豐富且不善表達於言詞，善忌妒，人稱悶騷型，須注意心、血壓、小腸、眼睛等問題。

Plenty of ideas but not good in expressing them, jealous easily, boring character, must be careful of heart, blood pressure, small intestine and eye problem. 

丁火為陰火，燃燒自己照亮別人，很容易看到外界是非，像手電筒般的無心，就可以看到別人的事情，因此不想當是非人，卻容易捲入是非中，也因此容易洞察人心，特性是一旦翻臉就像翻書一樣，感覺敏銳，丁火記憶力強，與丙火不同的是，丙火為重點式記億，丁火則為細節式法。

Ding fire represent Yin fire, burn oneself to light others, very easy to see the bad things in this world, like unintentional torchlight, can see people’s feeling, dislike to be bad people, easy to get mixed up in issues, easy to see clearly inside others, special character is when turn face like turning pages of books, sharp sense, Ding fire has good memory, the difference with Bing fire, Bing fire focus on the big issues and Ding fire focus on the small issues.

其本身就像一盞明燈，為文明的象徵，屬火好恨故容易傷心，因其恨鐵不成鋼，要以水的心態來化解，屬火者要虛心並懂得沉澱自己為上策。

The person is like a bright lamp, representing civilized image, fire people easily get hurt, as a result not easy to be forge into steel, must use water nature to resolve the issue, fire people must be modest and knows how to settle issues amicably.

子平真诠评注 -  

Ziping Zhenquan Pingzhu (ZPZQPZ)

丁火柔中，内性昭融；

抱乙而孝，合壬而忠；

旺而不烈，衰而不穷；

如有嫡母，可秋可冬。

丁火柔中，内性昭融；

Ding fire being soft, flexible, supple, yielding and with an inner character which is clear and mild.

抱乙而孝，合壬而忠；

Cuddle Yi wood considered filial, combine with ren considered loyal.
Ding fire is filial to Yi wood who is the mother.  Ding fire cuddle Yi wood the mother because Yi wood the mother is scared of attack by Xin metal. Ding fire can control Xin metal which can attack Yi wood the mother so Ding fire is considered a filial child.

Combine with Ren considered loyal.

Ren being the Officer/King of Ding. Ren fear attack/control by Wu earth.  Ding combine with Ren and transform to wood to control back Wu earth. Protecting the Ren considered as being loyal to the King.
旺而不烈，衰而不穷；

When prosperous it is not intense, when weak it is not poor.

Ding fire being soft, flexible, supple, yielding even when prosperous will not become too intense and fiery.

Ding fire when weak will also not become distinguished. It will become like a star in the sky.
如有嫡母，可秋可冬。

With mother, able to survive autumn and winter.

Ding fire born in autumn when metal is prosperous and in winter when cold water is prosperous, when wood is in prison. If a Jia wood protrude in the HS or with a Yin wood in the EB, it is able to survive.

丁火，离火也，内阴而外阳，故云柔中。

Ding fire, Li fire (Bagua), inside is Yin and outside is Yang, tahts why it is called gentle inside.

内性昭融，即柔中二字之注解。

Inner personality is bright and harmonious/mild,  the key word is internal flexibility.

丁，乙之母也，有丁护乙，使辛金不伤乙木，不若丙火之能焚甲木也。

Yi wood is the mother of Ding fire, with Ding to protect Yi, so Xin metal can’t harm Yi wood, unlike Bing fire which can turn jia wood to ahses.

壬，丁之君也。

Ren the partner of Ding fire.

丁合壬能使戊土不伤壬水，不若己土合甲，

Ding combines with Ren can ensure Wu earth is not able to harm Ren water, also prevents Ji earth to combine with Jia wood.

辛金合丙之更变，君失其本性也

Xin metal combines with Bing fire and transform, losing the original partner essence.

（己土合甲，甲化于土，辛金合丙，丙火反怯）。

虽时当乘旺，不至赫炎；

Even when it is prosperous, it will not be explosive;

即时值就衰，而不至歇灭

At times when it is weak, it will not be extinguished.

（酉为丙火死地而丁长生）。

干透甲乙，秋生不畏金；

With Jia Yi protrude in the HS, not worried about metal even if born in autumn;

支藏寅卯，冬产不忌水。

With Yin Mao in the EB, not worried about water even if born in winter.

以庚去乙，以甲引丁。

Use Geng to get rid of Yi wood, use Jia wood to attract Ding fire.

辰月

Chen month.

以甲木引丁制土，次看庚金。木盛用庚，水盛用戊。

Use Jia wood to attract Ding fire to control earth, next observe Geng metal.

When wood is prosperous use Geng metal, when water is prosperous use Wu earth.

巳月

Si month.

取甲引丁，甲多又取庚为先。

Obtain Jia wood to attract Ding fire. With abundance Jia wood, use Geng metal to control.

午月

Wu month.

火多以庚壬两透为贵。无壬用癸，为独杀当权。

With prosperous fire and with Geng and Ren protrude is considered noble. Without Ren use Gui water, represent single Killing in power.

未月

Wei month.

以甲木化壬引丁为用，用甲不能无庚，取庚为佐。

Use Jia wood to transform Ren to attract Ding fire, to use Jia wood must have Geng metal, therefore obtain Geng to assist.

申月

Shen month.

庚取劈甲，无甲用乙。用丙暖金晒甲，

With Geng to chop Jia wood, without Jia wood use Yi wood. Use Bing fire to warm the metal and to sun bath the Jia wood,

无庚甲而用乙者，见丙为枯草引灯。

Those without Geng and Jia instead using Yi wood, seeing Bing fire will dry the grass and cause fire.

水旺用戊。

With prosperous water use Wu earth.

You month.
