Overview
With Gui water as the ruling qi of birth, this chart is an Eating God growing Direct Wealth structure. This Xin Day master produces Eating God/output Water, sending upwards to nourish the Jia wood (Direct Wealth) on the heavenly stem. He is likely to be using specific skills in a certain type of profession/industry, whereby his creation/craft generates income/wealth. Since Direct Wealth also represents a man’s wife element, one could say he uses his skills to impress/court his potential mate. It could anything from designing something to whipping up a delicious cuisine!
Xin is small metal object calibre and won’t be able to cut through the thick Jia wood, not without the help of Geng – lucky for him there’s a root in Shen branch (Year Pillar). Looking at his Year and Month pillars where Shen-Zi forms water foundation, he may have some supportive/helpful siblings/relatives, or friends when he was young.
The chart comprises two interestingly opposing platforms – one of Water and one of Fire, as seen in the Shen-Zi and Wei-Wu combinations. As we all know, Fire and Water cannot live in harmony, unless there is an arbitrator. This task would inadvertently have to be handled by the two protruding Jia woods.
However, the Zi-Wei is a harm formation, meaning either:

This chart has a higher tendency to favour Water more than Fire – Xin metal doesn’t bear up well under too much heat, and liken to shine pure (like jewellery) from clear water. JI CHOU ANNUAL PILLAR
It would be advisable for him to fly way under the radar. It’s a clear cut picture of Ji earth protruding to stem. This Ji will attempt to combine his Jia wood. Outside resources are attempting to compete for business/take away his wealth. Chou-Chen (AP and his LP) releases Gui water which then combines Wu HS of Wu Chen. Although this formation cannot produce Fire, it suggests that there may be some legal or administrative hurdles encountered.
As he reaching the end of his current LP Wu Chen, this is the time to clean up his slate – draw up his final P & L sheet, sell off any unproductive business/redundant assets, etc.
He should use these next remaining months of this year to salvage what he can from his current circumstances and create his blueprint plan for next year’s business/work strategies.
Then start anew in a new LP and AP.

WEALTH CAPACITY
In LP Bing Yin, Bing-Xin Heavenly Stem combo between LP and DM (Day master) strengthened his self element. At the same time, inside Yin branch is Jia wood. Self was strong enough to take Wealth. As such, he likely did well in his studies/craft pursuit (Zi branch has noblemen auxillary stars) during this time.
By the looks of it Ding Mao LP continued to bring him wealth but without the quality of Bing Yin. Two combos are formed by Shen branch of his natal chart Year Pillar with Ding Mao i.e. Geng-Yi and Ding-Ren. These are ‘sentimental’ combos. As Geng is his Rob Wealth element, instead of strengthening/supporting him, this time round it has ‘robbed’ him of his Wealth (wood) and Seven Killing (fire) elements. In gist he may have lost out in some business projects or if employed his work credits were usurped by a competitor/colleague.
In the current Wu Chen Pillar, the Chen-Shen pushes up an (additional) invisible Zi, forming a Water Trinity. This Zi harms Wei and clashes Wu. Output is too strong, wiping out Fire. With Fire out, Resource (earth) is weak. This would mean a lot of hard work/efforts and/or expenditure but depleting/weakening resource. Resource could refer to staffs being poached, livelihood being removed (businesses plummeting or losing job) or losing support. Even though he is still in Wood (wealth) LP, Chen is already a declining phase for wood not to mention the Water Trinity had ‘combined away’ his Wood roots to water. So any income would be quite meagre and below expectation.
The upside is that once he moves on to his next Ji Si LP, he can expect visible improvement. Metal is in growth in Si branch and Bing main root combines his Xin day master to form water. There will be a Si-Wu-Wei formation that re-energises his Seven Killing – motivation and strategic action. This time, Fire is strong but Metal is re-born and Water is there to provide balance. That means influential parties will help him rebuild his career/business.
So where is the Wood? It is there ahead, waiting, in Geng Yin Annual Pillar 2010 – next year to be exact. Indeed, timing is everything.
