Jie Sha – Robbery Sha.

劫殺

When we see this particular Sha called “Robbery Sha”, it sounds pretty bad.

Is it considered an inauspicious Sha, god or demon.

Again similar to other Shen Sha, it can be good or bad, depending on the situation. One thing for sure this is a pretty fierce Sha. You can be sure he is not going to just sit there if there is a fight going on. An interesting factor is that with certain conditions, it can be very good at planning or to strategize an attack or defense plan. Put him on a horse he can most probably attack ferociously. With an Officer to drive a Jie Sha, it is possible to wield power and authority. Mixed the Jie Sha with a bunch of robbers and crooks, he will make hell on earth.

How and when is a Robbery Sha useful and how and when is a Robbery Sha a nuisance?

劫煞在常生帝旺死絕表中處絕地。

Jie Sha located at the Jue position in the 12 Qi phase (Chang Sheng, Di Wang, Si, Jue) table.

如木絕在申，亥卯未以申為劫煞。

For wood Jue is located at Shen, Hai-Mao-Wei use Shen as Jie Sha.

劫者，奪也，自外奪之謂之劫。

Jie person, as in robbery, robbing externally.

劫煞又名大耗，

Jie Sha also called big squanderer.

古歌雲：“劫煞為災不可當，徒然奔走名利場，須防祖業盡消亡，妻子如何得久長。”

Ancient cloud song: Jie Sha as disaster not to be taken lightly, in vain running around searching for fame and fortune, must protect ancestor business otherwise will slowly vanish, how the wife can last for a long time.

又雲：“劫神包裹遇官星，主執兵權助聖明，不怒而威人仰慕，需合華夏得安榮。”

Another cloud say: Jie Sha pocket meet Officer Star, the daymaster using military strategy to assist brilliant master, not worried about people’s admiration, must match Chinese summer to obtain containment and glory.

三命通會說：“劫煞吉則聰慧過人，才智超群，事不留行，胸羅萬象，高明爽邁，武德橫財，凶則昏濁邪侈，毒害性重，宿疾刑徒，兵刀折傷，執拗內狠，貪奪無情……。”

SMTH: Jie Sha when auspicious is more intelligent than others, outstanding ability and wisdom, do not do things half heartedly, full of ideas, brilliant and straight forward, using all means to obtain wealth, inauspicious will cause faint(unconsciously) impure, evil and extravagant, poison harm personality, chronic ailment punishment person, injury thru war and knife, vicious in executing plans, merciless in robbery due to greed.

凡是有權需帶煞，權星需用煞相扶。

To be an officer(authority) should have this Sha, officer star (authority) good to have this sha to assist.

劫煞主凶，主病傷刑法之災。

Jie Sha is inauspicious for the DM, DM injuries, punishment as the disaster.

如為忌神，性剛暴好妒，奸猾狡詐，常招凶災。

If inauspicious, character is though and jealous, deceitful and cunning, always incurring terrible disaster.

如為吉神，則好學上進，事業心強，工作勤勉，遇事果斷。

If auspicious, will learn to upgrade oneself, strong entrepreneur, hard working, decisive in making decision.

劫煞和亡神之影響力頗為相近，相同之點是同為偏激的基本因素，不同之點是劫煞如果生旺則智慧過人，如死絕則愚蠢固執；

Jie Sha and Wang Shen effect are quite close, the similarity is in the extremities, the difference is that a strong Jie Sha has outstanding intelligence, when Jie Sha is in Si(death) Jue(repose) stage the DM is stupid and stubborn.

但亡神則不論生旺死絕皆有靈活的智力，生旺則狡智用於正途，死絕則狡智而招來災禍，而亡神較有政治關係，劫煞比較屬於個人個性。

Wang Shen do not take into account the strength or Si Jue 12 Qi stages and in all cases possess an agile intelligence, strong DM will use the crafty wisdom in a proper way, DM in SI Jue stage will attract disaster due to the crafty wisdom, Wang Shen is related to government or politics, Jie Sha is more about the persons character.

神煞最宜一位，不宜多見，一位劫煞，自生於臨官帝旺，則煞化為權，必然顯達.

Shen Sha best to have only one, not good to meet more, one Jie Sha, located in Ling Guan or Di Wang,  the sha changed to authority, will be illustrious.

若兩三重，雖然早發，必主癆疾身亡。

If 2 or 3 heavy, maybe will be good early, but will die as a result of sickness.

三命通會

劫殺亡神

劫者，夺也，自外夺之之谓劫。

Robbery, to rob, robbing from outside.

亡者，失也，自内失之之谓亡。

Death, to lose, losing from inside.

劫在五行绝处，亡在五行临官，俱属寅申巳亥。

Jie located at the 5 Jue Qi position,

Wang located at the 5 lin Quan position,

Both are Yin, Shen, Si and Hai.

水绝在巳，申子辰以巳为劫煞，巳中戊土劫水也。

火绝在亥，寅午戌以亥为劫煞，亥中壬水劫火也。

金绝在寅，巳酉丑以寅为劫煞，寅中丙火劫金也。

木绝在申，亥卯未以申为劫煞，申中庚金劫木也。

古歌云：

劫煞为灾不可当，徒然奔走名利场。

须防祖业消亡尽，妻子如何得久长。

又云：

四位逢生劫又来，当朝振业逞儒魁。

若兼官贵在时上，梗直名标御史台。

又云：

劫神包裹遇官星，主执兵权助圣明。

不怒而威人仰慕，须令华夏悉安荣。

又云：

劫煞原来是煞魁，身宫命主不须来。

若为魁局应当死，煞曜临之不必猜。

若是无星居此位，更于三合细推排。

天盘加得凶星到，命似风灯不久摧。

水生木，申子辰以亥为亡神，亥中甲木泄水也。

火生土，寅午戌以巳为亡神，巳中戊土泄火也。

金生水，巳酉丑以申为亡神，申中壬水泄金也。

木生火，亥卯未以寅为亡神，寅中丙火泄木也。

古歌云：

亡神七煞祸非轻，用尽机关一不成。

克子刑妻无祖业，仕人犹恐有虚名。

又云：

命宫若也值亡神，须是长生遇贵人。

时日更兼天地合，匪躬蹇蹇作王臣。

又云：

皆言七煞是亡神，莫道亡神祸非轻。

身命若还居此地，贫穷蹇滞过平生。

凶星恶曜如临到，大限浑如履薄冰；

三合更须明审察，煞来夹拱必难行。

劫煞 - 十六般

（一名大煞）

A big Sha.

吉则聪慧敏给，才智过人，事不留行，胸罗万象，高明爽迅，武德横财，即生旺与贵煞建禄并也。

When auspicious is more intelligent than others, outstanding ability and wisdom, do not do things half heartedly, full of ideas, brilliant and straight forward, using all means to obtain wealth, in prosperous Qi phase together with Gui Ren and ShiganLu in the chart.

凶则昏浊邪侈，毒害性重，宿疾刑徒，兵刀折伤，执拗内狠，贪夺无情，即死绝与恶煞并也。

When inauspicious will cause faint(unconsciously) impure, evil and extravagant, poison harm personality, chronic ailment punishment person, injury thru war and knife, vicious in executing plans, merciless in robbery due to greed, in the Qi phase of Death and Jue together with other inauspicious Sha in the chart.

若元辰空亡，为盗；

Or with Yuan Chen and Kong Wang, represent a robber.

金神庚辛并，好刓刻雕镞，

Metal God Geng Xin combine, good for trimming and engraving arrowhead.

空亡金火并，为打铁屠侩捕鼠笼养之人。

Kong Wang combine with Metal and Fire, represent a person who works in a slaughter house forging metal using cages to catch rats.

若劫煞克身，更带金神羊刃同克，主车马颠覆之灾，生时得之，子孙愚薄。

If Jie Sha ke/counter the self, simultaneously also ke/counter Metal God and Yang Ren, represent disaster due to horse carriage accident,  with such a configuration, the grandchildren will be lowly.

1) 劫煞聚宝 （我克他也）。(Me ke/counter it) 一名琼珠劫煞. 岁克劫有力，与日主和谐者，主富裕。

Jie Sha gathering treasure:  (I ke/counter it) An exquisite pearl Jie Sha.

Year strongly ke/control Jie Sha, harmonious with DM, DM prosperous. 

Comment: It is good for this Sha to meet control for it to be useful.

2) 劫煞宜权， （临官空亡，空亡准十日夜推，临官准十日辰折）。 一名冠裳劫煞。

Jie Sha Proper Officer – A Jie Sha with proper attire (Official cap and coat).

为人衣冠济楚，光显贵人，况生旺日辰乎。

A person with proper attire, bright and prominent Gui Ren, moreover in prosperous Qi phase.

Comment: Meeting usable and powerful Gui Ren and also in strong Qi phase.

3) 劫煞嘉谋， （身不克煞，煞却不得其位）一名纪纲劫煞。

Jie Sha with excellent planning capability:  A disciplined Jie Sha with a proper program.

主强煞弱，日有他位之贵者，

DM prosperous Jie Sha weak, with Gui Ren in the Day Pillar.

动容不妄，中礼安常。

Not easily swayed by emotion, contented and courteous.

Comment: Weak Jie Sha should not be further ke/counter.

4) 劫煞奏号， （贵人同到）一名旌旗劫煞。

Jie Sha with a roar:  (Arrival of Gui Ren together) Jie Sha with a banner (carrying a flag).

劫坐贵人，贡助日主者，

Jie Sha sitting on Gui Ren, offering help to the DM.

凡事变难成易，

All matters changing to difficulty becoming easy later.

人自钦仰，福气异常。

Admired and respected by people, exceptional good fortune.

Comment: Jie Sha in the same pillar with other usable Gui Ren.

5) 劫煞呈瑞。 （真长生位）一名冕旒劫煞。

Auspicious Jie Sha: (Real Chang Sheng position) Jie Sha with a crown.

劫煞在长生位，有日主之财官等禄，主贵。

Jie Sha at Chang Sheng Qi phase, with wealth, officer and ShiganLu in the natal chart, DM noble.

6) 劫煞为霖。 （罗文贵人）一名盐梅劫煞。

Jie Sha as continuous rain:  A salted plum flower Jie Sha.

时带此劫煞，与岁君干支互换见贵，

With Jie Sha in the hour pillar, auspicious to exchanged the HS and EB with the year pillar.

更日辰有情，名利显赫。

With sentiment between Day and Hour, illustrious fame and fortune.

7) 劫煞生上。 （下生其上）一名库堂劫煞。

Jie Sha growing above:  Jie Sha with a hall as a warehouse/store

时带此煞自家生旺助年者，一重最吉。

Jie this sha in the hour pillar, with prosperous DM helping the year, even more auspicious if heavy.

仍喜两头冲破，年时干合，

Good for the two heads to be clashed and damaged, with combination between the year and hour HS.

支下带煞，主破家荡业，

With Sha in the EB, the DM squandered away the family business.

更与日家不情，宜然。

Further with no sentiment with the family, so be it.

8) 劫煞类争. （火人火类煞）一名半争劫煞.

Argumentative Jie Sha: (Fire person fire category sha) A semi competitive Jie Sha.

无制无驭, 则为屠沽巫医，

Without control and management, represent an evil medicine man.

有制有驭, 则为福寿贵格.

With control and with management, represent a fortunate and noble chart.

又看日辰吉凶如何, 增减断.

Further analyze the favorable/unfavorable in the chart, to increase or decrease the result.

9) 劫煞造意。 （我去生他）一名提孩劫煞。

Jie Sha to build wish. (Me producing it) A calling Child Jie Sha.

岁去生煞，犹母生子。

The year growing the Sha, like a mother giving birth to a baby.

若孤刑来并，主丧家克子，

If combined and punished by Gu Lonely star, represent funeral in the house and Ke/counter the son.

或被儿女耗财，兼克窃日主无疑。

Or the wealth squandered by the children, simultaneously Ke /counter and secretly steal from the DM.

10) 劫煞非良。 （煞来克我）一名贪玩劫煞。

Not a good Jie Sha: (Sha ke/counter me) A Jie Sha who loves to eat and play.

主非义取财，因财害己，或贪吝遭祸等事。

Wealth not obtained properly, damage to self due to wealth, or disaster due to greed and/or stingy.

为日辰凶煞者必然，为贵气者庶几。

If unfavorable and inauspicious, the sha will be bad news, if favorable and auspicious, the sha may go either way.

11) 劫煞毁焚。 （破宅煞克岁）一名翳桑劫煞。

Jie Sha burn to ashes: (Damage the house ke/counter the year)  A Mulberry Tree screen Jie Sha.

此兼领破宅之神来克岁，

This double trouble house breaker god ke/counter the year.

不独无屋可居，

Not only with a house to live in.

贫当甑釜生尘，

Poor to the bone. (Rice pot and kettle gathering dust)

更兼亡神克窃者，无救。

Further with Wang Shen to ke/counter and secretly steal, no hope.

12) 劫煞酣欲。 （合起我弱他强）一名风流劫煞。

Intoxicated  and lustful Jie Sha:  (With combination weakening self strengthening the Jie Sha) A playboy Jie Sha.

日时犯有合，单合双合，不降不克。

With combination between the Dayand Hour, single combination or double combination, not subdued not countered.

日辰竟无好意思相援者，主酒色破家，

With out intention to help, DM is a drunk and cause damage to the family.

不知廉耻，生平酣饮嗜音。

No sense of honor, whole life addicted to drink and noise.

13) 劫煞轻盈。 （劫煞死绝，我去生他又合起）一名管弦劫煞。

Light and graceful Jie Sha: (Jie Sha in Death and Jue Qi phase, produce by the self further with combination)  Jie Sha in charge of string instruments.

主娇态美姿，

The DM has a charming and beautiful appearance.

春风花柳日为活计，

Spring wind flower willow day as needle habdicraft.

以日辰不绝，福神无援故也。

Uninterrupted in the natal chart, fortunate god without support.

14) 劫煞党众。 （煞双来克主）一名天牢劫煞。

Jie Sha association: (Both Sha to ke/counter DM) Jie Sha in heaven prison.

纵贵亦夭，或军旅亡于他乡，否则为盗。

Even if noble will die prematurely or the army got defeated in foreign land, or else acting as bandits.

干音或又克窃日辰，更入空绝者无疑。

HS or Nayin ke/counter the DM, also in Kong Wang or in Jue Qi phase, is a sure sign.

15) 劫煞暴厉。 （亡劫双全，又克羊刃重重来合。）一名刀枪劫煞。

Extremely violent jie Sha. (Wang Shen and Jie Sha both in the chart, further ke/counter Yang Ren with many combinations.) A gun slinging Jie Sha.

主凶暴恶死，干音克窃日主，决难免。

Inauspicious for the DM, brutal and ugly death, especially with the HS and Nayin ke/counter the DM, difficult to prevent.

16) 劫煞空闲。 （孤寡同到）一名烟霞劫煞。

Jie Sha with free time. (Gu Gua both arrive) Jie Sha in a haze.

此煞与孤寡刑隔四位，内犯二者，

Jie Sha with Gu Gua punish four position, with two in the natal chart.

兼死绝之气克窃日主，非僧则道，

With Death, Jue Qi phase ke/counter DM, if not a monk will most likely be a Taoist practitioner.

以水火象分之，水多为道，火多为僧。

Differentiate using fire and water, water will be a Taoist practitioner whereas fire will be a monk.

若是俗人，孤寒之甚。

For common people, a very lonely life,

贵气交加者，庶几。

With noble Qi to add to the equation, maybe a possibility.
